I’ll tell you an experience I had with both of these psychic senses. I was at home alone one afternoon, not doing much, when I could sense a spirit in my area. This isn’t an uncommon occurrence for me, in fact, it happens quite often. So I did what I usually do when I’m not working … I ignored it! Because of the psychic work and mediumship I do, I have many spirits trying to contact me before readings or when they want me to tell a loved one something, but if I paid attention every time it happened, I would never be able to live my own life. So I went on about my business. This spirit was rather persistent, however, and the next thing I knew, I could smell cigar smoke. It was so strong for a minute that it compelled me to glance around and see where it was coming from, only to quickly remember I was alone in the house. When I made that connection, I could feel the pleased spirit. However, still off the clock, I went right back to ignoring it. I’ve had many experiences when I’ve come in contact with scents when spirits where present, so it only grabbed my attention for a minute or two. Then all of a sudden, I had the most overpowering taste of whisky in my mouth! It was one of the top ten most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had when encountering a spirit. Especially since I drink alcohol maybe twice a year, and I really hate the taste of whisky! I hate to admit it, but up until this point, I was even a little bit skeptical about this whole clairgustance ability, as I had yet to experience it myself. But I must say, that made me a believer instantly! I could no longer ignore this spirit, so I said, “All right, you got my attention.” Turns out when I tuned into this particular spirit, it was my husband’s great uncle, who had passed. He was very close to our family and my husband, so I was grateful for his persistence.
